The New Leadership Charter School has gained a reputation for being a hoop hotbed in the city where basketball was created by James Naismith. And that's just fine with them. With the postseason right around the corner, the NLCS boys have to be feeling good about their chances.
At New Leadership we value the student athlete. Part of our mission is to develop students morally, mentally, and physically. We achieve this by teaching to the mind and the body. Students who participate in our athletic programs must maintain a high level of success in the classroom to compete. In it's short history NLCS has seen great athletic success on the court, the track, and in the ring. Most recently, New Leadership has joined forces on the gridiron with Commerce High School allowing NLCS athletes to compete on the football field. Please see below for more press releases on our athletics.
